Daddy is political crime drama movie, co-written and directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. The film stars Arjun Rampal, who also has written the film. The movie portrays gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli. It is being presented by Kundalini Entertainment and Karta Entertainment. This film also stars Farhan Akhtar in a key role.
Besides streaming the trailer, Arjun also chatted live with audiences across the globe. He said that it was an honour to be invited by the world's most popular search engine to reveal his film's trailer. With this, he has created maximum reach for his film, and also got connected personally with each and every fan. Daddy is special for him because it has a lot of emotions associated, both on-screen and in reel life. He said that honestly, he couldn't have asked for more.
Under the direction of Ahluwalia, the film will hit screens on July 21. This is a biopic about the underworld don, Arun Gawli. It also features Nishikant Kamat, Aishwarya Rajesh, Rajesh Shringarpure and Anand Ingale in important roles.
Arjun also said that starting from the rough streets and back alleys of Central Mumbai, he has written his own destiny, eventually going on to become one of India's most feared mobsters. Currently, he remains an enigmatic figure; for some he’s a volatile, power-hungry gangster but a venerated 'Daddy' or a modern-day Robin Hood for the working-class neighbourhood, where he belongs to. The story tells the fates of the world famous Gawli as he tries to enter politics and an irritated and frustrated police inspector with a secret history in the mob."
During Arjun’s tour across the US, he also joined hands with an NGO and participated in huge dinners organised by it in Houston, NY, LA and San Francisco. During that occasion, the actor urged people to help give food and education to the underprivileged kids in India and also raised a considerable fund as an initiative.
So this is really a different touch to a trailer launch. Isn’t it?
