Are speculations that the Roshans will create a mark at the Box Office true? Is Hrithik Roshan's upcoming movie Kaabil worth to spend money on? Read Kaabil movie review by CRB Tech Reviews to find out more.
Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starring Kaabil is slated to release today i.e. January 25. The film is a revenge drama and it’s for the first time Hrithik and Sanjay Gupta collaborated on a movie. It is also for the first time we see the fresh pairing of Yami and Hrithik. Kaabil songs are also very melodious.
The response to the latest Rakesh Roshan production venture promos were great, we bring you this blog to give you some clue on whether you should spend your money and time to watch Hrithik’s Kaabil.
The challenge of playing a character with visual impairment is massive in the film. It is all about the mind power and how does he behave, respond and act under circumstances. In Kaabil, Hrithik plays Rohan Bhatnagar who is a visually impaired guy and doesn’t let his shortcoming become his identity. He decides to marry Supriya enacted by Yami Gautam who too is blind and they both dream of buying the ideal house and lead a normal life. Things turn sour when a local politician Madhav Shelar (Ronit Roy) and his brother cast their evil eyes on Rohan and Supriya’s love story. From here, Kaabil becomes a revenge drama.
Hrithik takes his biggest career risk with Kaabil. For an actor whose name is synonymous with good looks, vanity and superstardom, now played a simple ordinary guy who isn’t bothered by the way he looks on screen or how many packs he has hidden behind his shirt, for him Kaabil is a huge risk. And Kaabil plays him good! Kaabil works only because Hrithik takes it to another level.Right from the opening frame where we watch Rohan make breakfast to the very last scene you are spellbound by Hrithik’s talent.
Kaabil also works because you watch characters. Hrithik and Yami’s chemistry is amazing the idea to cast these two opposite is just fabulous. Sanjay Gupta’s style is sexy yet tame. Brothers Ronit and Rohit Roy shine in their roles and bring in the right bad boys sauce to the dish. The dialogues are crispy and Hrithik’s monologue when the interval sets in, will get the theatre up on their seats. Last not the least, Urvashi Rautela’s item song Haseeno Ka Deewana gives the right break to an otherwise serious scenes.
Kaabil is quite lazy in first half. Yami’s scenes in the second half and her dialogues appear forced emotions. Kaabil is dark and violent; with a very little scope for relief and humor in this script. That can become tiresome after a while.
What to do
Kaabil is Hrithik Roshan‘s best performance in film career. I’m a huge fan of Hrithik Roshan movies and will definitely watch Kaabil. Even you watch and enjoy the finest performance to come out of Bollywood in a very long time.
