Anupam Kher is denied a visa for visiting Pakistan.
Neighbouring country Pakistan on Tuesday denied a visa to actor and BJP sympathizer Anupam Kher, who has been welcomed by the organizers of a literary fest in the city of Karachi as one of their chief guests.
Kher is of the opinion that just he has been singled out of the 18 delegates who had applied for the visa. "I am very sad and disappointed that out of 18 participants, 17 were given visa and I was denied," Kher expressed while speaking with news agency ANI.
Responding to reports, the Pakistan High Commission, in any case, has claimed that Kher never presented any application for the visa.
Kher is booked to go to a session at the Karachi literary fest on February 5. The 60-year-old actor, who was honored the Padma Bhushan as of late, has been a vocal supporter of the BJP-drove government at the Center.
